SUBJECT: Committee and Commission Appointments

RECOMMENDATION:
Council to make appointments to the Library Commission, re-appointment to the Education Commission and other appointments as may be deemed appropriate by the City Council.
ANALYSIS:
Pursuant to Resolution No. 17-116, each Councilmember makes one appointment to the various Commissions and Committees of the City, serving at the pleasure of, and subject to removal by, the appointing Councilmember, with the terms of office of each appointee being for a period not to exceed two years, expiring at the next General Municipal Election. The term of office shall continue until the appointment and qualification of successor appointees.
It is recommended that appointments be made in the following:
Library Commission Mayor Ivan Altamirano
Education Commission Councilmember Mireya Garcia
FISCAL IMPACT:
This activity can be carried out without additional impact on the current operating budget.
