AQUATICS FOCUS
The City of Corona Community Services Department has offered high-quality, affordable, and accessible swim lessons to the residents of Corona and surrounding communities for decades.
The Y views water safety as a critical life skill. Strengthening community is our cause.
Our aquatics programs sit at the intersection of our three areas of focus as a causedriven nonprofit:
Youth Development: Y Aquatics Swim Lessons and Water Safety programs positively impact students’ well-being, encourage them to learn a new skill in each lesson, and help them to build relationships and a sense of belonging Healthy Living: Y Aquatics Swim Lessons and Water Safety programs help students get the recommended amount of physical activity and encourage future participation in physical activity
Social Responsibility: Y Aquatics Swim Lessons and Water Safety programs provides students a chance to connect with people of all dimensions of diversity as well as access to spaces where they may not have felt included otherwise
