Application For Corona Airport Office
City of Corona:

Thank you for the opportunity to apply for a new Corona Airport office location. BWI Aviation Insurance, formerly Bill White Insurance, is a multi-generation family-owned, aviation insurance agency based in Corona, CA.

Since 1977 we have specialized only in Aviation Insurance, and we insure all types of aircraft from small experimental aircraft to twin-engine turbine aircraft, helicopters and even private jets.

The early years of our then small insurance agency actually began at Corona airport, where we maintained a small office on the West side of the airport. Unfortunately due to frequent flooding (with the inside of the building being flooded up to 6 feet high in some cases) we eventually move our office to Sixth Street in Corona, where we remained for 15 years.

During our time on Sixth Street, we began growing rapidly, including doing business in all 50 states and culminating with opening a new branch office on Lake Hood Airport, in Anchorage Alaska in 2019.

Unfortunately, due to COVID—19 and right after opening our Alaska office, we were forced to shut down both offices and move all of our staff to working remotely. After a few years of continuing to pay rent at both locations, we made the decision to close the Corona Sixth street office completely. Our Alaska office reopened in Summer of 2021 and our Corona based agents have been working remotely since then.

Our companies journey began in Corona and we continue to insure a significant number of aircraft at Corona airport, including the repair shop Procraft, and have insured them for 36 years.

When the opportunity came up for us to apply for an office at Corona airport, it felt like everything was coming full circle for our company and that we could add a lot of value, renewed interest and risk management to the Corona airport.

If we are given the opportunity to open a new office at the Corona airport, it will give our many customers a physical location to come in to and discuss their aviation insurance policies directly with one of our highly trained agents.

Thank you for your consideration,
Matthew White

2nd Generation Owner, BWI Aviation Insurance
