Dear City Council,
We have actively submitted project plans to the city departments for review since project approval. By now, all project plans, reports, and studies have gone through multiple plan checks, and our architects and engineers are currently responding to the remaining comments holding up their approval. The Parcel Map plan check is in its 3rd round, and we are addressing all outstanding items' needing completion prior to map recordation. The project's delay was due to the effects of the COVID-19 epidemic on commercial real estate development and other extenuating circumstances placed on our engineer of record for the project. We are working diligently to record the map before the November 3 deadline, but we will most likely need additional time to complete the last outstanding items for map recording. Therefore, we kindly request an extension of the previously approved Parcel Map 37221 of an additional 1 year to ensure the successful project gets to completion.
