Community Update

Local Affordable,
Quality Education
The cost of attending California’s public
universities continues to rise and is now more than
six times that of attending a community college.

Since 1991, Norco College has provided excellent
education to students, families, and veterans at an
affordable price.
99% of NC Students
Graduate Debt-Free
Norco College students, including high school
students, utilize our programs to save money on the
first two years of college to:

Transfer to UC or Cal State University with
applicable credits
Begin their college education before high school
graduation
These programs rely on up-to-date facilities to
continue to offer this caliber of affordable
education, and allow students to prepare for
universities without generating crushing debt.

Preparing for
University Transfer
Updated space for classrooms and up-todate learning technology is vital to prepare students for careers in science, technology,
engineering, math and computer science
without long waits for available classes or
hours-long travel.

Preparing Our Critical
Local Workforce
Norco College proudly contributes to the training of the next generation of entrepreneurs, local nurses,
paramedics, firefighters, and police officers, and
supports 6,000 returning veterans.

After 30 years,
Updates Are Needed
These realities mean that the College is
struggling to maintain the quality
education at an affordable price, on
which our local students, families, and
local veterans rely.

Norco College is struggling to find
suitable, up-to-date classroom space
as enrollment and requirements for
STEM and safety classes, and the
need for veteran support increases.

Basic Repairs and
Updates Needed
Additional funding is needed upgrade spaces
for IT systems, equipment, classrooms and
career training facilities to keep pace with
current industry standards.

Funding is also needed for continuing basic
repairs at current facilities including water,
asbestos, electrical, earthquake, parking lot
safety lighting and upgrades, among others.

Working to Maintain
Critical Programs
Norco College is studying
needs to repair and maintain
our aging existing facilities,
while providing the updated
space and technology our
local students need to earn
college credits, certifications,
and today’s job skills at an
affordable price.
