Background
1. What is the purpose for the request i.e. what you are trying to achieve or do? A resolution to affirm the city desire to save the Corona Depot from demolition by its new owners. The Current Corona Depot was listed in the 1982 Historic Inventory for place in Corona’s History. Corona would not have survived as a city if the Sante Fe Railroad hadn’t come through Corona. The Corona Depot is historically significant not only in terms of design Current Designed by a famous architect H.L Gilman (designed LA Union Station, Linda Vista Hospital and several other Train Depots for Sante Fe)
Only location in town where a sitting U.S. President visited 2 nd Public Safety Officer Killed in the line of duty, in Corona, George LaPorte, on March 20, 1914

2. What is the scope of the work you wish to see done?
Develop a resolution supporting preservation of the Corona Depot either in place or moved to a new location.
