Background
1. What is the purpose for the request i.e. what you are trying to achieve or do? I’d like for the Council to support adopting a resolution addressing homeowners insurance protection resolution, in support of our residents affected by recent premium increases or policy cancellations due to natural disasters.
2. What is the scope of the work you wish to see done?
Approve and adopt a resolution that outlines City advocacy, public awareness and community support.
3. Does this request align with the City’s Strategic Plan? How? Sense of place, High-performing government.
4. What is the desired timeline to have the issue considered by Council? Meeting of November 20, 2024
5. Is the issue urgent requiring action before the next priority setting session of Council (Spring Workshop)?
