SUBJECT: Exception to Bid – Core-Rosion
The Utilities Department is requesting an exception to competitive bidding pursuant to Corona Municipal Code Section 3.08.140(E) – The purpose of bidding is otherwise accomplished to Core-Rosion in the amount of $100,000. Corona Municipal Code Section 3.08.140(E) authorizes the City to make an exception to competitive bidding when the City determines it is in the best interest of the City.
Core-Rosion is the authorized distributer for Poly-Processing’s chemical storage tanks.
This item is listed on the Exclusive Standard Specifications list and is referenced as “Chemical Storage Tank – High density cross-linked polyethylene tank with integrally molded flanges (IMFO System) manufactured by Poly-Processing.” The Utilities Department requests an exception to bid in the amount of $100,000 to be awarded to Core-Rosion for chemical storage tanks through June 30, 2025.
