Supporting Foundation Recap

Following is a summary of key items discussed at the last Executive Committee meeting.

• The WRCOG Supporting Foundation selected four speaker options for the 2026 General Assembly & Leadership Address, in order of preference: Bob Costas, Jewel Kilcher, John Maxwell, and Tony Hawk.
• The Executive Director / Supporting Foundation Secretary was authorized to execute an agreement with the Washington Speakers Bureau to secure one of the selected speakers, in order of preference above, not to exceed the stated fee plus travel and related expenses, and to take necessary actions to carry out this authorization.
• The 2026 event is scheduled for June 18, 2026, at Pechanga Resort Casino, with funding allocated in the adopted FY 2025/2026 Supporting Foundation Budget; budget adjustments will be made if needed once the speaker contract is finalized.
Next Meeting
The next Executive Committee meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., in the County of Riverside Administrative Center, 4080 Lemon Street, 1st Floor, Bard Chambers, Riverside.
