That the City Council provide direction on the participation in CalRecycle’s Recycle From Home Pilot Program
₁ CalRecycle. (2023). Beverage container recycling in California. Retrieved from https://www.2calrecycle.ca.gov ₂ Orange County Grand Jury. (2022, June 28). Where have all the CRVs gone? 2021–2022 Orange County Grand Jury Report. https://www.ocgrandjury.org/pdfs/Where_Have_All_the_CRVs_Gone.pdf As of 2022, less than 1,000 redemption centers remain in operation in California compared to over 2,600 centers in 2013₂.

The Beverage Container Recycling Program (BCRP) recycling rate goal is 80% ₁.

Most residents no longer have a redemption center that is close to home or work.

Recycle from Home
A State Pilot Program was created to improve consumer
access to CRV recycling, offering a convenient option to recycle CRV bottles and cans curbside.

The City of Corona has participated in Recycle from Home since December 2022. There is no cost to the city to
participate in the program.

Submitted a letter of authorization to
CalRecycle naming Recycle From Home, as
the City’s Pilot program provider.

Filled out a simple application with
CalRecycle to be part of the pilot program
