Seek legislation to exempt designated Downtown Core areas from the Surplus Lands Act. Amend Section 54221 of the Government Code to specify “exempt surplus land.” Surplus Lands Act 01
Amend Section 11133 and Section 54953 of the Government Code. This bill would require the agenda for an open meeting to identify any legislative body member who will participate in the meeting remotely.
Remote Meetings and Telecommuting 02
Display the estimated time saved next to the cost of the toll. Mandate electronic displays at toll collection points, giving drivers real-time information on toll rates and travel times. This measure addresses users' lack of awareness and enhances transparency in dynamic tolling practices.
Truth in Tolls 03
Potential plaintiffs must write to public agencies. They must wait 90 days before filing a suit, clearly describing the alleged PRA violation and demanding that the public agency cure/correct the violation.
