The project is warranted to improve circulation for the Metrolink Station owned and operated by the Riverside County Transportation Commission. The project also includes the installation of American with Disabilities Act (ADA) pedestrian push buttons, video detection system, and construction of a hardscape median.

The Plans and Specifications for the project were completed and reviewed by City staff and are ready for adoption and award. The project was advertised on November 24, 2025, soliciting bids, pursuant to Corona Municipal Code section 3.08.90, Public projects - formal bidding procedure, and purchasing policy through the City’s PlanetBids bidding portal. On January 12, 14 bids were received through the City’s PlanetBids bidding portal for the Project as shown in the table below.
As stated in the contract and bid documents, Instructions to Bidders, “No bidder shall be allowed to make, submit, or be interested in more than one bid.” Therefore, Crosstown Electrical & Data, Inc. was deemed a non-responsive bidder since they submitted a bid as a prime and are also listed as a subcontractor for other bids submitted.
