Co-Sponsorship Program
General Purpose
• Intended to facilitate community events
open to the public.
• Provides city co-sponsorship for events
through in-kind contributions of fee waivers,
city services, and staff time.
• Does not provide funding for third-party
vendors, outside services, or other cost or
services not provided by the City
• Does not assist in the form of cash towards
an event.
3 Co-Sponsorship Program
Eligibility Criteria
ü Corona based non-profit or government agency
ü Event must be open to the public and accomplish one
or more of the following:
§ Promote Corona as a safe, vibrant, and familyfriendly community § Promote Corona as a desirable place to live, visit,
or do business
§ Promote Corona as a destination and/or encourage
tourism
§ Enhance qualify of life and well-being
§ Advance pride in multicultural community
§ Encourage neighborhood identity and pride
§ Promote cultural and artistic wellness 4

8 Application Timeline
Next application period will open February 1st – 28th, 2027 for events occurring July 1st 2027- June 30th, 2028
Annual Funding
Funding will be capped at $30,000 and will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Process Changes
Applications will be open twice a
year.
The first application period will
cover the entire Fiscal Year.
Second application timeline will
encompass the second half of
the Fiscal Year only in case
groups missed the first deadline.
