Members of the City Council, Ms. Friend, and Ms. Canlas: Pursuant to City Council Policy #2, I am requesting an agenda item to consider establishing a policy regarding the flying of flags on city property.
Although the city follows the US Flag Code, the council has never adopted a policy or municipal code to formalize practices pertaining to our municipal flag or the military flags at Star Park.
The intent of this request is to consider establishing a policy or municipal code that enshrines current practices.
