RESOLUTION NO. 2024-11
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORONADO, CALIFORNIA ACCEPTING THE 2023 CALENDAR
YEAR STATE MANDATED FIRE INSPECTION COMPLIANCE
REPORT FROM THE CORONADO FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, California Health and Safety Code Section 13146.4 was added in 2018, and became effective on September 27, 2018; and
WHEREAS, California Health and Safety Code Sections 13146.2 and 13146.3 requires all fire departments that provide fire protection services, including the Coronado Fire Department, to perform annual inspections in every building used as a public or private school, hotel, motel, lodging house, apartment house, and certain residential care facilities for compliance with building standards, as provided and
WHEREAS, California Health and Safety Code Section 13146.4 requires an annual reporting to the City Council regarding the fire inspections of certain occupancies; and WHEREAS, California Health and Safety Code requires the City Council to acknowledge receipt of this report by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department is responsible for providing said inspections; and WHEREAS, the Fire Chief has presented a report satisfying the requirements of California Health and Safety Code Section 13146.4; and
WHEREAS, this report demonstrates the Coronado Fire Department has conducted inspections in accordance with the California Health and Safety Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Coronado hereby acknowledges receipt of the 2023 Calendar Year State Mandated Fire Inspections report as required by California Health and Safety Code Section 13146.
