A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORONADO, CALIFORNIA, SUNSETTING THE SPRECKELS
CENTER ADVISORY COMMITTEE AND RECLASSIFYING THE
GOLF COURSE ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO AN AS-NEEDED
WORKING GROUP
WHEREAS, the Spreckels Center Advisory Committee and Golf Course Advisory Committee were established as City Manager-appointed, non-legislative bodies to provide guidance and support for specific City initiatives; and WHEREAS, the Spreckels Center Advisory Committee was formed to advise on the development and successful opening of the John D. Spreckels Center, and it has now accomplished its original mission; and
WHEREAS, the Golf Course Advisory Committee has been instrumental in providing valuable recommendations on golf course operations and maintenance, and can now effectively serve as an as-needed working group without formal agenda and noticing requirements; and WHEREAS, sunsetting the Spreckels Center Advisory Committee and reclassifying the Golf Course Advisory Committee to a working group will streamline City operations while maintaining opportunities for public engagement and input; and WHEREAS, this action does not preclude the public from engaging with City staff on matters related to the Spreckels Center or the Golf Course, ensuring transparency and community involvement remain priorities; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Coronado as follows:
