Town Manager Cusimano responded to a Public Comment received during Open Time, regarding the Green Building Code Update, and stated that the Town is engaged with the other Planning and Building Departments, and Building Official Chris Ragland will be working with his cohorts around the County regarding best practices moving forward. The intent is to first collaborate county-wide to have the best practices and recommendations, then bring that through the Climate Action Committee to get their comments and then bring that back to Council to get feedback and approval. It is a priority and is on staff’s workplan for the fiscal year.

Staff is also working with Marin Municipal Water District on a number of issues regarding the drought. With Parks and Recreation, we are bringing in experts to give us evaluations and options at Town Park from a multi use field standpoint for the park, specifically for fields and what our options are to improve and maintain them.
