I have served as an active member of the Historical Preservation Committee since 2004. I feel that the Committee makes a valuable contribution to the community and am very proud of the work that the Committee has done over the past 17 years.
As a member of the committee I have directly contributed on a number of committee projects, including the "Story of Costa Mesa" booklet; the Costa Mesa Historic Buildings pamphlet; the "First Residents" informational sign at Fairview Park; Costa Mesa Notable Residents; Costa Mesa Historical Site Markers; and other projects.
I welcome the opportunity to remain an active member of the Committee and to continue to serve the city and residents of Costa Mesa.

As a Committee/Commission member, what ideas or projects are of interest to you? I feel it is important to increase awareness of Costa Mesa's history and heritage, particularly to Costa Mesa residents. This helps deepen their connection to the community and helps foster civic pride. Any project that supports this objective is of interest to me.
