I have repeatedly over the last six years, stated that this contribution is not proper. The Chamber of Commerce is a 501 c 6 organization, and has to be funded by membership dues. The only way that the $15k can allocated to the Chamber of Commerce is through a contract for providing visitor information services.
Even Council member John Moore agreed with this, 20 years ago as a citizen...
I request once again, that the "donation" of $15k be changed to a contract service as required.
