RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COTATI 1) ACCEPTING THE IMPROVEMENTS, 2) AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO FILE THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION, AND 3) AUTHORIZING THE RELEASE OF
RETENTION FOR THE COMMUNITY CENTER ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, on May 25, 2021, the City Council awarded the Construction Contract for the Community Center Roof Replacement Project to Stronger Building Services; and WHEREAS, the Notice to Proceed was issued on June 15, 2021, with a start date of June 28, 2021; and
WHEREAS, Stronger Building Services has completed the work specified in the contract documents to the satisfaction of the Public Works Director/City Engineer.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Cotati hereby takes the following actions:
1. Accepts the contract work performed on the Community Center Roof Replacement Project; and
2. Directs the City Clerk to record the attached Notice of Completion for said contract work within 15 days of the date of resolution and provide a copy to the contractor (Cal. Civil Code §9204); and
3. Authorizes the City Manager to release any remaining contract retention to Stronger Building Services thirty-five (35) days after the recordation of the Notice of Completion, provided that no liens or stop notices have been filed against the Project.
IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Cotati held on the July 26th, 2022, by the following vote, to wit:
