RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COTATI COMMENDING
COUNCILMEMBER MARK LANDMAN FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE CITY OF COTATI
WHEREAS, Mark Landman was first appointed to Cotati City Council and sworn in on the evening of November 18, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Mark Landman was elected to Cotati City Council in 2010 and subsequently re-elected in 2014 and 2018, and faithfully served as Councilmember through December 2022; and
WHEREAS, Mark Landman served as Mayor of the City of Cotati in 2013, 2018, and 2022, and Vice Mayor in 2017 and 2021; and
WHEREAS, Mark Landman was named Cotati Citizen of the Year in 2015; and WHEREAS, Mark Landman served on the City Council that guided the City back from a dire financial situation, balanced the City budget and advocated for improved public services and infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, Mark Landman served and guided the City during unprecedented challenges including wildfires, financial instability and the COVID-19 pandemic; and WHEREAS, Mark Landman has represented Cotati as a member of the Sonoma County Transportation Authority, Russian River Watershed Association, Sonoma County Legislative Committee, Regional Climate Protection Authority, LAFCO, and Remote Access Network Board; and
WHEREAS, Mark Landman has also served the community as a founding Board Member of Sonoma Clean Power and a key contributor negotiating the Joint Powers Authority; and
WHEREAS, Mark Landman’s wit and wisdom will be greatly missed by everyone at City Hall, who wish Jan and him the best in City Council “retirement”.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City of Cotati that Mark Landman is hereby commended for his service to the community as a Councilmember of the City of Cotati.
IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Cotati held on the December 13th, 2022, by the following vote, to wit:
