EXHIBIT A
CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL
1. The applicant is granted non-exclusive use of La Plaza Park from Saturday, March 4 th
,
2023 at 10:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m. for the event scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
2. Applicant is to provide map of the event route clearly showing location of flaggers to be stationed along the route at street crossings, sections with no bike lane, and areas where flaggers may need to otherwise assist participants in staying on the route and for safety.
The map shall also include locations of signage along the route and traffic cones where needed to caution road traffic on the event in progress. This map is to be approved by the City Engineer and Police Chief. Volunteers are to receive traffic safety training and on the City work day prior to the event, sign a roster to verify they will be staffing the event, have received safety training, and have a safety vest and flag.
3. The applicant shall submit a deposit of $250 within 30 days of approval of this event.
4. Applicant shall provide the City with the proof of insurance for all events and vendors, as required, to the satisfaction of the City, prior to the event.
5. The applicant shall obtain the required permits and follow all regulations from the Sonoma County Environmental Health Department, and shall ensure each food vendor complies with Health Department requirements.
6. The applicant shall ensure that all vendors follow Cotati Municipal Code 8.20.030 (Prohibited food service ware and products), which bans the selling or serving of food ware that contains polystyrene foam or PFAS.
7. The applicant shall ensure the public facilities (park, parking spaces, and streets) are cleaned completely and returned to pre-event condition within 2 hours of event end time.
8. The event shall be carried out as described in the written descriptions submitted by the applicant and in compliance with these Conditions of Approval.
9. The applicant shall contact the Rancho Adobe Fire Protection District and comply with any permit requirements of the District.
