Kevin, please share my comments with the City Council regarding tonight’s meeting agenda item
10.A. – Appointment of Planning Commission Members. I feel that the announcement, which went out over the holidays, did not provide enough time for interested citizens to submit an application.
Having only 2 applications for 2 seats does not seem like citizen involvement to me. An alternative for this evening could be to have the Council ratify 1 appointment and wait on another.
I would extend the application deadline for another month or two to allow citizens to understand the position and apply. Thank you. John
