GEORGE BARICH AND LAURIE ALDERMAN V. CITY OF COTATI AND JOHN A. DELL'OSSO, CASE NO. 21-CV-00034-EMC
B. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL—ANTICIPATED LITIGATION (GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.9(D)(4).) 1 CASE

16. REPORT OUT OF CLOSED SESSION
City Attorney John Bakker indicated that there was reportable action on Item 15A, and read the following statement: The City Council unanimously approved a settlement agreement negotiated between the City's insurance carrier and the plaintiffs. The general terms of the settlement are that the plaintiffs and their attorneys will receive $80,000, the plaintiffs will provide a release of claims that they may have prior to January 5, 2023, and the City does not admit any liability. The settlement amount is a small fraction of what the plaintiffs claimed, there is no finding of any City liability, and it eliminates the possibility of any new lawsuits being brought by the same plaintiffs for any previous grievances.

Mayor Harvey adjourned the meeting at 10:08pm.
