On behalf of SCLECA President Chief Cregan:
The Sonoma County Law Enforcement Chiefs Association has selected Officer Ryan Reinke of the Cotati Police Department as the recipient of the Exchange Club Officer of the Year Award.
Motor Officer Reinke is being recognized for his diligent work in a Missing Person Report of a young lady last seen by her employers in Cotati and was overdue for a Selma Oregon arrival. Officer Reinke tracked the missing person’s cellphone which eventually had a dead battery. He continued his investigation by questioning family members discovering a possible rural route she may have taken. Officer Reinke worked with several law enforcement agencies, eventually she was rescued from her car that was stuck in a snowstorm, out of fuel and therefore no car heater and no cellphone service. Camille would have frozen to death if not rescued.
Thanks to Officer Reinke’s exemplary service, dedication, and commitment to public safety, this young lady made it home safe.
Congratulations to Officer Ryan Reinke!
