The user Neil Hancock has posted a comment on Legislative File 3955: Resolution of the City Council of the City of Cotati adopting the Sonoma County Vision Zero Action Plan.

Comment: While this initiative is a good statement, it is relatively toothless. I wonder what would be the format for the city adopting a wider palette of “safety options” for shared road use for Bicycle and Pedestrian safety . Santa Rosa and Petaluma are doing a wider analysis. There are Cotati urban streets, with Class II/III bike lanes, that have a historical poor safety design and vehicle speeds that are unsafe for an urban street. These streets would be good for simple changes that can reduce speeds. Some visual examples that I’ve seen recently are https://photos.app.goo.gl/kc5W762jj57wuck18 Public Comment Item 11C
