To the Cotati Accordion Festival;
The multicultural, multi-generational, international Cotati Accordion Festival, as a nonprofit event that donates its proceeds to local youth groups in need of funding for their programs, would like to apply for all applicable fee waivers for our 2023 event in La Plaza Park.
The Cotati Accordion Festival does charge for entrance to its event. However, we donate our proceeds as opposed to being an event for profit. We are able to produce this nonprofit festival through the massive community support in the form of 150 volunteers. These volunteers are all local citizens who come together each year for the dual project of raising money for the kids and creating an event that brings a community together through their collaborative efforts.
Yet, our efforts don't stop there. We also believe by being a multicultural festival, and by being a concert that puts music of all genres on our stages, that we are helping people of different walks of life come together through the unification of music and working together. We like to believe that the Cotati Accordion Festival is much more than an assorted number of accordion players playing their music. We like to believe that we are working towards making the community more unified and that hopefully we can learn how to make it work better for all of us.
