Dear Cotati City Council,
We are requesting the use of La Plaza Park in Cotati for the use of a Talent Show on September 30, 2023. The talent will be an event for musical artists from a professional networking group called "BNI".
They would be performing their talents in the form of a musical talent show. The non-profit associated with this event is The LIME Foundation. With your approval of the park's use, the ABC Permit will be pulled for The LIME Foundation.
As written in the application, the requested event timeline is as follows:
7am - 1pm Setup
1pm - 6pm Talent Show
6pm -8pm Event Strike
We would be requesting the closure of La Plaza Street between Redwood Highway and West Sierra Avenue as marked on our site guide provided for you.
We are not asking that the park be closed to the public. All may enjoy the music. However, the areas that are roped off would be accessible by ticketholders. Wristbands would be required to access inside the ropes and alcohol would be served to only guests with the proper wristbands. There will be volunteer/security watching the entry/exit areas to assure alcohol does not leave the beer garden space.
We were so happy with the event at the park last year we would love your approval to have another event this year. All would be the same as last year. Everything worked beautifully last year! We will be sure to acquire the proper insurance and licensing required by the City of Cotati.
We appreciate your time and consideration.
Kind Regards,
Crissy Knox, Jelsie Events
