Thanks for your comments. Kevin will post this to items received after the agenda was posted and distribute to the City Council and placed on the public table in the Council Chambers (our normal distribution process). Here are some initial responses that we can discuss ahead of the meeting, if you would like:
• p. 62: delete "potentially" before "flag raising ceremonies (at the bottom of the page).
o This is in the staff report, so the only way to delete this is to republish the staff report. I believe the more important edit is the other "potentially" on page 67, as this is in the resolution being adopted by the City Council and will be the permanent record.
• p. 63: delete "through the Mayor" (at the end of the first stanza). o This is just a reference to the existing City Council Rules, where the Mayor (or City Manager) is generally the person that interested groups contact to request letters of support, proclamations, resolutions, etc. Requests can also come from individual councilmembers, but it goes through the Mayor, who is the signatory. If it's something that needs to be agendized, it typically comes up on Direction On Future Agenda Items as council direction, or the Mayor may refer a request to the agenda if the full council should discuss before the city issues a letter.
• pp. 64-65: I want to volunteer to serve as Organizational Lead for LGBTQ+ Pride Month, Juneteenth, and Native American Heritage Month flag raising ceremonies (not sure where to include this).
o Sounds good, this email will be forwarded to the city council ahead of the meeting, per the distribution described above.
• p. 67: delete "potentially" before "flag raising ceremonies (from first "whereas" stanza).
o Sounds good, I will call out this edit prior to adopting the resolution. • p. 68: delete "through the Mayor" (from last sentence in 2nd stanza of Number 1) o This is just a reference to existing City Council rules, per above. • p. 69: edit "consist" to "consistent" (in first full stanza after D) and "through the Mayor" (in second stanza of Number 3).

Comments Received- Item 11C
o I will call out the edit to consistent prior to adoption. Through the Mayor is just a reference to existing City Council rules, per above.

Hi Kevin and Damien,
I have some edit suggestions for this agenda packet and would love to meet to share formatting ideas to make them more user-friendly:
• p. 62: delete "potentially" before "flag raising ceremonies (at the bottom of the page). • p. 63: delete "through the Mayor" (at the end of the first stanza). • pp. 64-65: I want to volunteer to serve as Organizational Lead for LGBTQ+ Pride Month, Juneteenth, and Native American Heritage Month flag raising ceremonies (not sure where to include this).
• p. 67: delete "potentially" before "flag raising ceremonies (from first "whereas" stanza). • p. 68: delete "through the Mayor" (from last sentence in 2nd stanza of Number 1) • p. 69: edit "consist" to "consistent" (in first full stanza after D) and "through the Mayor" (in second stanza of Number 3).

Thank you,
Kay
