RE: Cotati Farmers Market 2024
Agricultural Community Events Farmers' Markets (ACEFM) respectfully requests that the City Council approve the Cotati Farmers Market in La Plaza Park for the 2024 season. The season will run from Wednesday June 5th through Wednesday September 25th from 4:30 p.m. -7:30 p.m. The Farmers' Market will consist of produce/food sales, 3 food trucks, Barbeque, non-food sales, alcohol sales sold by The Cotati Chamber of Commerce and live amplified entertainment.

ACEFM requests that the City Council authorize exclusive use of the park including adjacent parking spaces fronting the park on La Plaza.

Additionally, ACEM requests permission to reserve the right to block off La Plaza between West Sierra Avenue and West Cotati Avenue. Our intention is to set up in the park.

Since ACEM is a non-profit organization we request our fees be waived or lowered by 50% per the application.

ACEFM will be providing insurance coverage for the farmers' market naming the City of Cotati as Additional Insured and will obtain liability waivers from all the vendors. Additionally Certificates of Insurance will be provided for the pony ride and inflatable bounce house vendors.

ACEFM would also like permission to put up the following signs and banners at the corner of Old Redwood Hwy. and W. Sierra Ave in La Plaza Park.

ACEFM will be responsible for obtaining trash and recycling bins from Recology that will be dropped off and picked up at La Plaza Park throughout the market season. The Farmers' Market Manager will clean up the park after each event.

Following are items that Agricultural Community Events respectfully requests the city take care of:

1. The public restrooms at La Plaza Park need to be open from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on market night Wednesdays throughout the market season.

Please ensure that the timers are set properly.

2. ACEFM request that Public Works install on or before May 14th the Cotati Chamber of Commerce four Wooden Farmers Markets signs; three below each of the "Welcome to Cotati" signs and one sign at the southeast corner of Gravenstein Highway and Old Redwood Highway, placed on the barricade at Old Redwood Highway and St. Joseph's Way. We request that the signs stay up during the market season and are taken down by public works after September 25th.

3. ACEFM requests that wasp traps are in place before opening day June 3rd and are replaced frequently during the market season.

4. ACEFM requests that no watering or mowing of the lawn in La Plaza Park takes place on Wednesday evenings or any time Wednesdays during the market season.

5. ACEFM requests banner placement over Redwood Highway May 20th - June 3rd.
