As an applicant for a City of Cotati Park Use and Special Event permit, facilities, I hereby agree to assume all risks for loss, damage, liability, injury, cost or any expense that may arise during or be caused in any way by use or occupancy of any area or facility of the City of Cotati. I further agree that in consideration of being permitted to use said facility, I will hold the City of Cotati, its officials and employees free and harmless from any loss, liabilities, damages, and/or injuries to persons and property occurring during applicant's use or public liability insurance as stated in "Park Use and Special Event Permit Policy" with the City of Cotati named as additional insured to be submitted no later than one month prior to the rental date. I have read the rules and regulations of rental carefully and agree to them as written. I understand that applications not submitted thirty (30) days prior to event may not be able to be processed. 1, the undersigned, acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that myself and others attending my event may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19. I agree to having all attendees follow CDC and Sonoma County Department of Public Health recommendations for enhanced health and safety measures related to COVID-19 and follow all posted instructions while using City facilities; including requirements for social distancing, wearing of face coverings, participant grouping, types of activities allowed, and potential limits on event size.

From: Liz Derammelaere, Executive Director of Cotati Chamber of Commerce The Cotati Chamber of Commerce is applying for use of La Plaza park for our upcoming Cotati Music Festival on Saturday, June 8, 2024 The annual event celebrates live local music and local business. The Cotati Chamber has been hosting the Cotati Music Festival for the past several years and we are proud to provide the community with a free event. We will feature 5 live bands and host retail and food vendors throughout the park. The festival will run from 12-6PM. We are asking for use of the park and street closure of La Plaza from 8am-8PM for set-up and take down.
We have applied for a one day ABC license for beer, wine and margarita sales. We are requesting the street closure of La Plaza, behind the park to spread out our food vendors and drinks sales.
We have secured additional garbage, compost and recycling cans and two additional port-a-potties for the event.
Since the the Cotati Music Festival is part of the comprehensive economic effect by the Cotati Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber kindly requests that all park fees be waived.
Additionally, the Cotati Chamber of Commerce respectfully requests that the City:
1. Opens the public restrooms at La Plaza Park from 8:00AM-8:00PM on the day of the event and ensures that the timers are set properly.
2. Puts up the Old Redwood Highway street banner for Music Festival approximately one month in advance of the event.
3. Ensures that no watering or mowing of the lawn in La Plaza Park takes place on or Saturday 6/8/24.
4. Closes La Plaza Street from 8AM-8PM.
