Dear Mayor Sparks and Councilmembers,
As Cotati residents, we strongly urge you to oppose Measure J. It poses a serious and unnecessary threat to our county, endangering multi-generational family farms, jobs, and housing for farmworkers. The ripple effects of this misguided measure will extend beyond targeted farms, driving up costs for smaller farms and harming local businesses like feed stores and veterinary services.
Sonoma County’s farms are already leaders in sustainability and regenerative agriculture.
Measure J is an unnecessary burden on taxpayers and part of a broader effort to end animal agriculture in Sonoma County!
Please stand with us in opposing this harmful and misguided measure.
