Subject: Cost Proposal for Professional Engineering Design Services for Class 1 Pathway Maintenance Project – FY 2024-2025

We are pleased to provide this proposal for engineering services for the subject project.
We understand the scope of work includes engineering design services for the preparation of improvement plans and bid documents for the maintenance and restoration to portions of Cotati’s existing pathway system at the following location:
• Laguna Pathway – Laguna De Santa Rosa trail between Gravenstein Way and E. Cotati Avenue
This project involves asphalt surfacing along a portion of an existing pathway system in Cotati. The purpose of the proposed asphalt surfacing is to provide a smooth all-weather pathway for use by the public. The existing asphalt pathway surfacing will be overlayed or reconstructed, with shoulder backing adjacent to the pathway as site constraints allow.
The asphalt pathway surface will have a design maximum cross slope of 1.5% for compliance with ADA standards. See the attached exhibit for the limits of the proposed pathway segment (location #1).
The construction is assumed to occur during spring of 2025. The fees for services included in this proposal are detailed in the attached Estimated Level of Effort spreadsheet and provided as separate tasks as follows:

We propose to provide the above Engineering Design, Bid Phase & Construction Management Services based on time and materials basis, pursuant to the attached Estimated Level of Effort and Fee Schedule, for an amount Not-to-Exceed of $45,057.00 The following items are specifically excluded from this proposal:
• Encroachment Permit Application for work City right-of-way. • Geotechnical Report, Soils Investigation, Soils Compaction Tests • Environmental compliance studies and technical memos. • Structural, Traffic, Electrical, Mechanical engineering services • Payment of any fees associated with the submittal or completion of this project.

Annual rate escalation will be calculated at 3% on a calendar-year basis.
