Dear Mr Patterson,
I am writing to request that item 9a be removed from the consent calendar for 11/26.
My husband and I have lived in Cotati for decades and walk on the Laguna de Santa Rosa trail daily. We recently learned of a plan to do asphalt resurfacing on the section between Gravenstein Way and E. Cotati. Whereas we appreciate the City's care and upkeep of the Laguna trail, we are very concerned that asphalt is a poor choice. A great deal of work has gone into restoring a natural environment on the Laguna trail. Asphalt has a number of strikes against it and there are better alternatives that have been used on other parts of the trail.
