Re: Fire Impact Fee Nexus Study and Program for the Rancho Adobe Fire Protection District Dear Mr. O’Bid:
On behalf of the Rancho Adobe Fire Protection District (the "District"), please find attached the District’s Fire Impact Fee Nexus Study (the "Nexus Study") prepared by SCI Consulting Group. The Nexus Study and the proposed fire impact fee program were approved by the District’s Board of Directors (the "Board") on June 19, 2024, by Resolution R-10. As the District does not have the land use authority to impose such fees, the Board formally requests that the City of Cotati Council adopt and implement the proposed fee program on behalf of the District.
It is my understanding that your office will be able to review and present this fee program to the City Council for consideration. I have also attached a draft ordinance for your use. If you have any questions regarding the fee program or the City adoption requirements, please let me know. Our office is ready to assist the City as needed.
