Cotati City Council Members,
Housing provides a sense of safety from the outside world. It is thought of as a place of comfort and contentment.

A home is a place to shape relationships and build strong bonds among family members by working as a team. It is a place of belonging where there is opportunity to develop future potential. A place to be creative, a place to rest and prepare nourishment. It is where we center ourselves to meet the demands of the outside world.

Housing all people is a necessity to create equity, diversity and inclusion and to eliminate the adversities of low-income renters and homeowners who are far from affording market rate pricing.

I urge, without reservation, the future of all people to have a home and this can only be accomplished by providing more affordable housing.

I can send this letter. Truly, I rely on those responsible for ensuring the building of affordable housing to make the right decisions.

Redwood Row would bring housing, a public bike path and a park. With walkable distances to grocery stores and job centers. Importantly it supports smart sustainable building standards. It is a winning choice for the City of Cotati and their residents.

With sincerity and hope for a better future for all,
Mary Lockhart
Resident Service Coordinator
Burbank Housing
