RESOLUTION NO. (XX)
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COTATI
ESTABLISHING A PUBLIC HEARING DATE TO RECEIVE ALL ORAL AND
WRITTEN PROTESTS TO THE OUTSTANDING BACKFLOW TESTING
CHARGES AND LEVYING OF ASSESSMENTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025-26 WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 773 adopted on May 25, 2005 added Chapter 13.20 regarding backflow testing expenses being considered a lien upon property; and WHEREAS, some property owners have not been responsive to requests for payment and did not submit payment for services performed during calendar year 2024; and WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council of the City of Cotati an itemized report showing outstanding backflow testing charges identified below; and WHEREAS, California State law requires that the City Council hold a public hearing to establish the outstanding backflow testing charges and direct levying of assessments thereof; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Cotati hereby establishes August 12, 2025, as the date for the public hearing to receive all oral or written protests to the amounts of the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 assessments which are listed within Exhibit A by parcel number and directs the City Clerk to give the prescribed notice of hearing.
IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Cotati held on July 8, 2025, by the following vote, to wit:
