Hello city representatives!
I was informed by Jenny Blaker that the repair of the Delano Park path is on the consent calendar this week. I ask that you please remove that item so discussion can be had to consider alternative surfaces for that path.
We live right by the creek trail and know that natural surfaces wear much better than asphalt, which will buckle over time, creating future headaches.
I urge you to consider alternatives. Jenny is well versed in these things and I implore you to consider her suggestions.
I don't have much time right now to learn about all of these things or to make suggestions, but I just know that the worst paths I have ever walked on are those with buckled asphalt and concrete. Also, we are investing in beautiful natural looking paths all over Cotati. Let's let Delano Park enjoy that as well.
Best,
Marlina Eckel
