SUBJECT: DECLARATION OF INTEREST TO JOIN THE RENEWAL ENTERPRISE
DISTRICT
Dear Chair Flemming,
On behalf of the City Council of the City of Cotati (Cotati), this letter serves as the notice of interest to initiate discussions to join the Renewal Enterprise District Joint Powers Authority (RED JPA). Given the statewide imperative for housing and our individual efforts to accelerate housing across the income spectrum for our communities, we believe the time is now to collaborate on innovative approaches across jurisdictions for our collective benefit. The RED JPA is the ideal forum to drive countywide collaboration and innovation.
In accordance with the Adopted Protocol for Joining the Renewal Enterprise District Joint Powers Agency, I am requesting that an agenda item be placed on a future RED Board of Directors agenda to discuss Cotati’s interest in joining the RED JPA.
