NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 scheduled for June 23rd, 2026 at or after 6:00 p.m.
Cotati Landscaping and Lighting Maintenance Assessment District NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Cotati will hold a public protest hearing regarding this Assessment concerning the Annual Engineer’s Report for the City of Cotati Landscaping and Lighting Maintenance Assessment District (Assessment District) and the proposed budget for the 10 individual Zones in the Assessment District.
The public hearing for the Assessment Districts is being conducted pursuant to Section 22620 et. seq. of the Streets and Highways code.
The Assessment District funds the maintenance of portions of the public landscaping in 10 Zones that include parts of the following developments: Valparaiso Vista, Quail Hollow IV, Sommers, Macklin Phase I, Sierra Meadows, Oak Knoll, Garden Gate, Park Meadows, Santero Way, and Altman Acres as outlined within the Engineers Reports. The Fiscal Year 2026-27 assessments for Zones 1 through 6 are proposed to remain at the same amounts as were assessed in Fiscal Year 2025-26, and the assessment for Zone 7, 8, and 10 are proposed to be increased by $15.48, $58.42, and $23.90 per year, respectively, and Zone 9 is to decrease by $2.00. These are all below the maximum allowable assessment based on an annual adjustment based on the San Francisco Construction Cost Index.
A public protest hearing will be held at the day and time provided in the title above.
The meeting will be conducted in person at the Council Chambers at 201 W Sierra Ave and virtually through Zoom Online video conferencing with instructions on the City’s website cotaticity.gov
