PROCLAMATION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COTATI
PROCLAIMING THE MONTH OF JULY 2026 AS PARKS MAKE LIFE BETTER MONTH
WHEREAS, Cotati’s Recreation Department strives to create memorable community experiences for all; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation promotes physical, emotional, and mental health and wellness through organized and self-directed fitness, play, and activities; and WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation supports the economic vitality of our city by providing gathering places for community members and amenities designed to attract visitors to shop, live, work, and play in our community; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation fosters social cohesiveness by ensuring all residents, regardless of their background or circumstances, have access to its benefits; and WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation supports social, intellectual, physical, and emotional growth in people of all ages and abilities; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation sustains and stewards our natural resources by protecting habitats and open space, connecting people to nature, and promoting the ecological function of parkland.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED on this day of June 23, 2026, that the City Council of the City of Cotati hereby celebrates the month of July 2026 as Parks Make Life Better Month.
