RESOLUTION NO. (XX)
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COTATI
CONDUCTING A PUBLIC HEARING DATE TO RECEIVE ALL ORAL AND
WRITTEN PROTESTS TO THE OUTSTANDING BACKFLOW TESTING
CHARGES AND LEVYING OF ASSESSMENTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026-27 WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 773 adopted on May 25, 2005 added Chapter 13.20 regarding backflow testing expenses being considered a lien upon property; and WHEREAS, some property owners have not been responsive to requests for payment and did not submit payment for services performed during calendar year 2025; and WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council of the City of Cotati an itemized report showing outstanding backflow testing charges identified below; and WHEREAS, California State law requires that the City Council hold a public hearing to establish the outstanding backflow testing charges and direct levying of assessments thereof; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Cotati has conducted a duly noticed public hearing to receive all oral or written protests to the amounts of the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 assessments which are listed within Exhibit A by parcel number and hereby approves said assessments and directs the City Clerk to work with the County Assessor to place said assessment on the property tax rolls.
IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Cotati held on June 23, 2026, by the following vote, to wit:
