Dear Business Owner or Property Owner,
The City is currently exploring a proposed zoning amendment intended to support businesses and encourage continued economic vitality by modifying the regulations affecting your property and/or business. Specifically, the City is considering a “Freeway Oriented” zoning overlay to grant additional flexibility for businesses and properties along Redwood Drive. The goal of these changes is to allow businesses to take advantage of the direct freeway visibility available to these properties. Because this effort is meant to benefit your business and/or property, your perspective is an essential part of the process.
To inform these changes, City staff are seeking input on how current zoning regulations affect business operations and how potential changes could help your business succeed. Provisions currently being considered include increased signage, expanded allowances for events and expanding the allowable land uses for these properties. Your feedback will help ensure that any amendments are practical, balanced, and responsive to real-world business needs while remaining consistent with community goals.
Opportunities to provide input include email, phone calls, or in-person meetings to allow direct communication with City staff. The specific properties being proposed for inclusion are identified on the attached graphic.
