RESOLUTION NO. (XX)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COTATI
READOPTING THE CORRECTED CITY'S SALARY SCHEDULE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026/27
WHEREAS, on June 23, 2026, the City Council adopted the City's Salary Schedule; and WHEREAS, following adoption, staff identified a typographical error affecting the listed salary rate for one position, Police Lieutenant, on the adopted Salary Schedule; and WHEREAS, the error was limited to the adopted document and did not affect the salary rate approved through the budget process or implemented through payroll; and WHEREAS, readopting the Salary Schedule with the corrected salary rate will ensure the City's records accurately reflect the approved compensation schedule and maintain compliance with applicable law.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Cotati that:
1. The City Council hereby approves and adopts the corrected Salary Schedule attached hereto as Exhibit A, replacing the Salary Schedule adopted on June 23, 2026.
2. The correction reflected in Exhibit A is administrative in nature and serves only to correct a typographical error. This action does not approve any new or modified employee compensation beyond that previously approved by the City Council.
3. The City Manager, Administrative Services Director, and their designees are authorized and directed to maintain the proper application of the salary schedule consistent with the City Council’s actions regarding each labor groups Memorandum of Understanding.
IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Cotati held on July 28, 2026, by the following vote, to wit:
