RESOLUTION NO. (XX)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COTATI
APPROVING THE 2026 DANNFEST MUSIC FESTIVAL EVENT IN LA PLAZA PARK.
WHEREAS, Dann Walters submitted an application to the City for the DannFest Music Festival event on August 23, 2026; and
WHEREAS, it will be necessary to conform to certain conditions as described in “Exhibit A” attached hereto, to facilitate this event; and WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the City of Cotati will not be jeopardized by the approval of these events; and WHEREAS, the application for these events is attached as Exhibit B; and WHEREAS, the action of approving a music festival event does not constitute a project as defined by California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines Section 15378; therefore, no further environmental review is required.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Cotati as follows:
Section 1. Findings. The above recitals are declared to be true and correct and are incorporated herein as findings of the City Council.
Section 2. The 2026 DannFest Music Festival event is approved, including the use of amplified live entertainment, the sales of goods, food, and beverages, including the sales of alcoholic beer and wine beverages in La Plaza Park, as more specifically described in and subject to the Conditions of Approval attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 3. Effective Date of this Resolution. This Resolution shall become effective immediately.
Section 4. Severability. Each portion of this resolution is severable. Should any portion of this resolution be adjudged to be invalid and unenforceable by a body of competent jurisdiction, then the remaining resolution portions shall be and continue in full force and effect, except as to those resolution portions that have been adjudged invalid. The City Council of the City of Cotati hereby declares that it would have adopted this resolution and each section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase and other portion thereof, irrespective of the fact that one or more section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase or other portion may be held invalid or unconstitutional.
IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Cotati held on July 28, 2026, by the following vote, to wit:
