From: Liz Derammelaere, Executive Director of Cotati Chamber of Commerce The Cotati Chamber of Commerce is applying for use of La Plaza Park for our upcoming Cotati Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
The annual event celebrates our community with live music, local businesses, food, drinks, and family-friendly activities. The Cotati Chamber has been hosting Oktoberfest for the past several years, and we are proud to provide the community with a free event. We will feature live music and host retail and food vendors throughout the park.
The event will run from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. We are requesting use of the park and the same street closures as previous years from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM for setup and breakdown.
We will apply for a one-day ABC license for beer, wine, and margarita sales. We are requesting the same closure of La Plaza Street, including the area behind the park, to accommodate food vendors and beverage sales. We will also secure additional garbage, compost, and recycling receptacles, as well as additional portable restrooms for the event.
Since this event is part of the comprehensive economic effect and licensing agreement with the Cotati Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber kindly requests that all park fees be waived.
Additionally, the Cotati Chamber of Commerce respectfully requests that the City:
Open the public restrooms at La Plaza Park from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on the day of the event and ensure that the timers are set properly.
Put up the Old Redwood Highway street banner for Cotati Oktoberfest approximately 2 weeks in advance of the event.
216 E. School St. Cotati, CA 94931 cotati.org
Ensure that no watering or mowing of the lawn in La Plaza Park takes place on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
Close La Plaza Street from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, consistent with previous Oktoberfest street closures and event operations.
