OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COTATI
RECOGNIZING OCTOBER 2026 AS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH WHEREAS, Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a worldwide annual campaign to highlight the critical importance of breast cancer education, early detection, prevention, and regular screenings; and
WHEREAS, breast cancer remains one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers among women, affecting millions of individuals and families globally and in our local community; and WHEREAS, advances in early detection, medical research, and treatment protocols have significantly improved survival rates and quality of life for patients; and WHEREAS, this observance provides an opportunity to honor breast cancer survivors, support those currently battling the disease, remember loved ones lost, and recognize the dedicated healthcare professionals, researchers, and caregivers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED on this day of October 13, 2026, by the City Council of the City of Cotati, that October 2026 is Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Cotati and urge all residents, community organizations, and healthcare providers to join in raising awareness, supporting education programs, and encouraging early detection and screenings.
