Dear City Council,
Although I am not opposed to the Preston Island nighttime closure, the ordinance should include 3rd, 4th, and 5th Streets, beach accesses. The illegal activities described at Preston Island occur more frequently in our area and will intensify, because of this closure, if our streets are not added to the ordinance. It will be detrimental to the quality of life for these residents.

Beachfront Park is closed at night for these reasons, yet it has no residents.

The ordinance reads “...closing Preston Island for the nighttime hours still gives the public large stretches of beach to access during that time.” This ordinance is like a directional sign sending more of these illegal activities to our area.

Please add the above mentioned Streets to the ordinance to ensure all residents have the same quality of life and experience in this community
Thank you,
Natalie Fahning
