Item 14: Accessory Dwelling Unit Ordinance Discussion
Mayor Wright and members of the City Council,
Please draO an ordinance for ADUs in Crescent City in favor of our residents who have made Crescent City their home. The housing shortage in Crescent City needs to be addressed in all ways possible, and protecHng housing stock for our permanent residents should be a priority for us all. To meet this priority, the ordinance must require that ADUs have rental terms over 30 days and must prohibit short-term rentals. Once approved, the ordinance must have clear, meaningful, and enforceable penalHes for investors who defy the ordinance.
