hello, apologies for being late. I hope that this comment gets accepted and addressed at the meeting.
I feel strongly that the county needs to have somebody to help people get into section 8 housing. like to be able to place families who are on section 8 into available housing. in the passes few years I know a lot of people who were granted HUD and lost it because they could not find a place to rent.
I understand that there are lists of the places who accept HUD but I feel that there needs to be some sort of advocate to actually help all the way thru the process so that people who needs home, who have done everything to get to actually finding a home, get the extra step to be having the home.
Also if there are any elder programs to help older people who need assistance to maintain the homes they have. im not sure if there are any, but I notice that quite a few homes that need minor improvement that dont get it prettty much rots out a home that could have many more years of life. A program that helps out in a such a way could also prevent elder people from being taken advantage of .
